Quirky me can make conversations with everyone I encounter, with awkward but serious questions like “what’s the meaning of your life?”. Curiosity is my defense. Just like view different people as a window to understand human being, I’m always keen to learn new things whenever I get a chance.I get ecstasy of the subtle beauty of everything around me, from an equation to color change of bud. More seriously, I’m a 4th year undergraduate student major in computational biology who utilized computational tools to de”code” life.

In Chinese, my first name(星曌) is composed of two characters but stands for four figures: the sun(日), moon(月), stars(星) and sky(空). Interestingly, The last character was stealed from the only female emperor in China: Wu Zetian(武曌) , the meaning of this character reflects her ambition and wishes for an unprecedented prosperous dynasty, where the sun and the moon hanging in the sky at the same time without replacement.
I also chose Irene /ai’ri:n/ as my English name for I like Ireland and Celtic music when I was young.
